Tariff Concession Applications

The Australian Customs & Border Protection Services manages a range of programs that protects local Industry, one of these being the Tariff Concession System ! The TCS was designed to assist local Industry to become more Internationally competitive. In saying that there is also tough guidelines & processes in place to prevent non-conformity & the protection of local Industry & manufacturers.

Consultancy services are available in the processing of Import Tariff Concession applications to determine the feasibility of obtaining concession & Duty Free entry upon approval. Each product would be assessed to determine whether goods or like goods are or have or can adversely affect a product already manufactured here in Australia. A Tariff Advice would firstly be applied for, for classification purposes, and Australian Manufacturers would be approached to determine feasibility. Application would be lodged with a wording specific to describe the actual goods & Customs would then determine acceptability prior to the application being approved & gazetted.
